WHAT SPILLS FROM YOUR HEART?
Ever bump into someone when you were holding a glass of water or a cup of coffee? What happened? More than likely the water spilled onto the other person. What happens when "life" bumps into you? How does life "bump" into you? What about when someone says something very hurtful to you? What if you studied real hard for that test, but still didn't do well? What if your neighbor gets sick and needs help? These are the ways life bumps into you. And when it does, what spills from your heart? Is it anger and hate, or kindness and love? In our Scripture, Mark 7:1-23, we learned that no matter how dirty your hands might be, what really mattered was the cleanliness of our minds, heart, and will. We showed love and kindness on Sunday by making beautiful cards for Kairos. And we played a fun game where we were blindfolded and then dropped all the good qualities we could get into our heart bucket. Lori then topped everything off by serving delicious "dirt" cake (really chocolate!)
