Lenten Soup Suppers

Come Dine with the Vestry for our Wednesday Night Soup Suppers

This year you have a special opportunity to dine with the Vestry. They have offered to be our table hosts and will lead a pre-teaching discussion during dinner for the 5 Wednesday nights during Lent beginning February 21st.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

The topic of our Lenten Series will be Profiles of Courage. We will look to scripture to see the hearts of some very courageous people like King David, Joshua and Caleb, a women who came to Jesus for haling, Paul, and Stephen. It is very interesting to see how each of these characters in the Bible, though very different, used the Word of God to obtain the courage to do the task that was given to them.

The soup will be ready at 6:15pm. Following supper, we will move into the church for a special time of Worship and Teaching, and will dismiss by 8pm.

KidZone will have their own video series, What's In the Bible? by Phil Visher, while adults and Youth are in the church. Nursery provided 6:15-8pm.

For all our wonderful cooks that would like to help, please sign up in the Narthex on Sunday or email Lynn in the office. Soup, Sandwiches, & Salads are all appreciated.
